FOR WHILE=1 TO WORK: BEEP 25,1: NEXT WHILE

BASIC - Part 108: Which details the return of Grisha's former tutor, Trofimov and his tearful reunion with Ranevsky.

No, wait - that's Chekov's The Cherry Orchard.  I our epic tale, a small band of robots is told to go away and do some work.

LET ENGINE=ENGINE-DIFFERENCE

BASIC - Part 107: Ebony and Ivory may well live together in perfect harmony side by side on my piano keyboard.  Some differences, however, will never be resolved when you're a permanently evil massive robot thing.

LET DOOR+LIGHTS=COOL

BASIC - Part 106: We've barely been reunited with the star of our comic and suddenly the whole room gets flooded with extras!  Luckily they're not speaking printed english so standard equity rates don't apply!

IF I=NOT VAL"IN THIS COMIC" + AGES THEN GOTO ISSUE105

BASIC - Part 105: He's missed eight weeks but he's back, mostly.  Witness the less than triumphant return of BASIC.

IF DROIDS= NOT LOOKINGFOR THEN GOSUB MOVEALONG

BASIC - Part 104: Miriam makes a rash move. Hope everyone in the tower is remembering to be friendly.

INPUT WHAT: IN THE: DEF FN HELL=THAT

BASIC - Part 103: What is that?!? We're at the top of a very tall tower.  That shouldn't be there.

LET REALLIFE$="RUBBISH"

BASIC - Part 102: So they're back in reality, if you can call the attic room of a tower shaped like a motor cycle riding shark reality.  Still, the colour palette is a lot wider.

D - BREAK - CONT repeats

BASIC - Part 101: Wah! It's not my birthday anymore.  Thanks for all the well wishes last week (for managing to draw 100 of these without going mad).  Right, it's episode 101 and Miriam does, what I believe the young moderns on their X-stations and their Wii boxes call a 'rage quit'.  How like her.

1 PRINT "WE'RE 100!!!" 2 GOTO 1 RUN

BASIC - Part 100:  Oh my sainted aunt! Can it really be a full 100 episodes ago that our friend Wyndham bought his second class ticket to the seaside?

Of course, he found a lot more than he was looking for, which is a feeling I echo.
It never fails to amaze me just how great the internet is, that I can just put out this comic, this story that's been bouncing around in my head for so long and have it find such a kind, engaging and well informed audience (who put my coding knowledge to utter shame!)  Seriously, I'm intensely gratified that so many of you have stuck along for the ride (but hey, we're still super-tiny - tell your friends!)

As I write, I've just nailed the dialogue for the final three strips (don't worry, they're a way off) and I promise that all the bizarre stuff you've seen so far DOES in fact tie up.

So, here's to a good few more, if you're willing.  Meanwhile, in this issue, Wyndham gets a little too into the game.  By the way, the object that he mentions is the title of a long forgotten ZX81 text adventure and has no bearing on anything at all.

IF INPUT$="THREAT" THEN PRINT "WIN"

BASIC - Part 99: Miriam finds some useful commands that weren't in the parser.  Also, 99?!? Wow, we're triple figures next week!  Hope you're all enjoying the ride so far.
